We are a community formed by God's Word and centered on Christ, committed to walking faithfully with God and one another, where God is growing people from potential into purpose.
Through study, prayer, and fellowship, we seek spiritual growth, renewed hearts, and lives aligned with God's will. Our shared journey is one of humility, love, and transformation, as we strive to live out the truth of the Gospel.
Guided by Vision & Purpose
Led by Pastor William Kelly and Pastor Dr. Tamala Kelly, our community is committed to growing in faith and love and walking alongside others.
Pastor William Kelly is the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of The Purpose Church in Monrovia, California. He is also the visionary behind The Watchmen, a dynamic men’s movement dedicated to equipping men to walk in their God‑given purpose as husbands, fathers, and leaders.
Pastor William carries a deep passion for strengthening families and believes that when men lead their homes with integrity and faith, entire communities are transformed for the glory of God. Known for his fatherly heart and authentic leadership, he is a true shepherd who walks closely with the people he serves.
As a respected national and international speaker, Pastor William is often called upon to empower marriages, families, and leaders. He is also a trusted pastor to pastors, offering wisdom, mentorship, and spiritual covering.
He has been joyfully married for over 32 years to his wife and purpose partner, Tamala Kelly, and together they are blessed with six children.
Pastor Dr. Tamala Kelly is the Co‑Founder of The Purpose Church and stands alongside her husband, Pastor William Kelly, serving as an ordained pastor and teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Azusa Pacific University, where she served as a Professor of Ministry. She is a prophetic preacher, teacher, and equipper—an impactful mentor and a true leader of leaders.
She is the founder and CEO of Empower 2 Purpose Ministry. A ministry that empowers women with the word to pursue their purpose with passion. Under the umbrella of Empower to Purpose is the Encounter Conference, Women in Ministry, Girl Power, Night of Empowerment, and Women at the Well.
Her influence extends into history. On June 7, 2022, she became the first African American woman elected to the Monrovia City Council, later serving as the city’s first African American female Mayor Pro‑Tem.
Among all her accomplishments and titles, she is most honored to be called a Daughter of the King!

When you walk through our doors, you'll find a community that values presence over performance. Our services last about an hour and a half and include heartfelt praise and worship, along with biblical teaching designed to encourage and strengthen your faith.
We also have a vibrant Children’s Ministry and offer Children’s Church during our Sunday service so kids can grow and learn about God's love.
People don't just go here, They Grow Here!
We offer free parking right outside our doors, with convenient street parking available if our lot is full. Look for our signage and friendly greeters who are ready to welcome you home.
